Lady Gaga loses Most 'Liked' crown

Lady Gaga is no longer the most 'liked' person on Facebook.

According to the social networking site, that title now belongs to Detroit rapper Eminem who has 28,883,000 'likes' versus Gaga's 28,872,000.

Nevertheless, Eminem still trails Michael Jackson, who has racked up 29.1 million 'likes' on Facebook. Given, his recent surge in 'likes' though, Eminem could surpass that number soon enough.

New Teaser Trailer and Photos Released for 'Hangover 2'

A new crop of photos have been released online along with a teaser trailer for 'The Hangover 2'. Director Todd Phillips talked to MTV about the movie's release and the competitive summer schedule:

Yeah, this summer's gonna be crazy. Somebody told me yesterday that this year has more sequels than ever. And I was thinking to myself how crazy that is and then I realize I'm actually part of the problem. I've never done a sequel before, so I was really outraged until I just realized I just did one.

The Hangover 2 will be released on Memorial Day weekend, May 26.

 

Beyonce 'blackface' photoshoot stirs controversy

Beyonce's African Queen photoshoot for the March issue of French magazine L'Officiel has garnered criticism from far and wide. Some have called it an insult for reducing Africans and all people of color into make-up that can be painted on the face.

In her defense, the magazine released a statement

L'OFFICIEL is very proud to present its March issue featuring Beyoncé in African-inspired dresses and jewellery by top designers, including Gucci, Azzedine Alaia, Fendi, Pucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Rodarte, Dolce & Gabbana, Cartier and Lanvin. Designer Tina Knowles, who is also Beyoncé's mother, created a one of a kind couture piece. The designs are all reflective of the African influence on fashion this season. Miss Knowles poses with royal allure. A queen, a goddess, Beyoncé is a bombshell beauty with a divine voice. We're thrilled she's opening a season of celebrating the 90th anniversary of L'Officiel de la Mode. The series was conceived as using art and fashion in paying homage to African queens.
Beyoncé mentioned the artist Fela Kuti in the interview as one of her musical inspirations. It was later misquoted as the inspiration for the shoot. We would like to clarify that it is not the case.
As for the artistic makeup, the inspiration came from several African rituals during which paint is used on the face. We find the images beautiful and inspiring.
L'Officiel would like to thank Beyoncé for her outstanding contribution to this celebration of African influences in Fashion.

I have to say I was bothered by the pictures of Beyonce with 'blackface' and I appreciate the magazine's statement, but they can't just write it off as 'fashion'.

CBS halts production on 'Two and a Half Men'

Shocker! (not).

It seems like CBS has decided to put its 'Two and a Half Men' production on hiatus, pending (we assume) the resolution of Charlie Sheen's troubles.

Charlie Sheen has been making news as of late, taking ''vacations''with porn stars and so on. Recently, he offered to move his two exes into new houses so he could be closer to his children.

No word yet if Denise Richards or Brooke Mueller are considering his offer.
